Abstract:

Two flow injection-spectrophotometric methods (normal and reverse) were proposed and compromised for determination of clonazepam (CLO) at the microgram level in pure and pharmaceutical dosage forms. The estimation of CLO had been developed by conjugate a normal (or reverse) flow injection analysis (nFIA or rFIA) and spectrophotometric detection with phloroglucinol (PHG) as coupling reagent. Beer’s law was obeyed over the range of 50–400 and 30-400 µg/mL, the limits of detection were 10.81 and 7.62 µg/mL and the sampling rates were 51 and 28 samples per hour for normal and reverse flow injection methods respectively. Both methods were successfully applied for analysis of target drug in its commercially dosage forms. A comparison between both proposed flow systems were also studied .
